Terms of Service

MPI Inspections Ltd will carry out pre-purchase inspections on request. We will peruse documentation held by the Territorial Authority and copy documents that in the opinion of the surveyor will be of use to the client. We will engage the services of a Registered Electrician to report on the electrical components of the building. If a plumbing inspection is required this will be at an additional cost to the client.

MPI Inspections Ltd takes no legal responsibility for any errors or missing descriptions in its reporting to clients whether verbally or in writing.

Reports are visual only of building elements which can be seen easily and does not include any item that is closed in or concealed including flooring, walls, ceiling, framing, plumbing, drainage, heating, ventilation, and wiring etc. Therefore we are unable to report that any such part of the structure is free from defect. This property report does not include the structural, plumbing, or gas piping and fitting, home heating state of the premises as MPI Inspections Ltd are not qualified for this but can arrange for these areas to be inspected by those people whose qualifications enable them to do so.

Clients must rely on their own judgment entirely as to whether they should act on any assessment given. Reports given by MPI Inspections Ltd are for the use of the client only and cannot be on sold without written approval.

MPI Inspections provide visual and non-destructive inspections only.

In booking an inspection you undertake to pay the account in full on or before the due date as shown on the invoice. In default of such prompt payment, you undertake to pay late payment fees of 5% per month on any amount outstanding and to indemnify us and pay all costs and expenses of a solicitor and own client basis if legal action is necessary, and / or Debt Collection fees, which we may incur in recovering from you any overdue amount.

Fees:
Single Storey 3 bdrm dwelling $764.00 incl. GST. Two Storey 4 bdrm plus dwelling $867.50 incl. GST. Commercial prices on request.
These prices are for local inspections only, all other inspections outside the Wanganui area will incur travel costs and vehicle expenses. Vehicle expenses will be at $1.20/km.
All other reports will be at an hourly rate of $130.00/hour.
